Sad Song Lady

Written by Keith Mouland

Well she came all the way from Texas with those sad songs on the radio
And I tuned in, caught the end of the show
Up here in the North, nights can get lonely and cold
Sad song lady on the radio

Now put a crack in your voice and it can get to my soul
Get to all those nice guys and weirdo’s
You can turn your desert sun into a teardrop of snow
Sad song lady on the radio

Sad song lady just play them straight from the heart
‘Till what’s in yours and what’s in mine
I’ll never tell them apart
And sad song lady I’ll go along with the dream
Just keep them coming down the line for me

I’m tuning in again some time for the show
I hope she plays that song about love gone wrong that I know
She sends them out to the world from her lone star home
Sad song lady on the radio

Sad song lady just send them straight from the heart
‘Till what’s in yours and what’s in mine
I’ll never tell them apart
And sad song lady I’ll go along with the dream
Just keep them coming down the line for me
