Under Cover

Written by Keith Mouland

A man was born in the sunlight
Worked hard in the daylight
Now he got pulled by the moon and the tides
When he looked over his shoulder
He could see his dreams following close behind

Drove on a road with no signs
Lived out the big and the small times
Happy just to take the longest route
And to ease his troubled mind
He told himself that he was gonna make it through

And a love was stowed away in his heart
Imprisoned by the hard things he had known
The light was blinding but he could not see
All of the sweet things he’d been shown
They were kept undercover

This is a man that I care about
One of millions out there
Don’t know the words but happy to play the tune
Hey soul brother of mine
One day we’ll get there and we’ll know what’s true

And a love was stowed away in his heart
Imprisoned by the hard things he had known
The light was blinding but he could not see
All of the sweet things he’d been shown
They were kept undercover
Kept undercover
