River Of Love

Written by Keith Mouland

All my friends are saying Boy what’s wrong with you
You used to be so down and out now you’re grinning like a fool
I’m happy to tell them I just can’t get enough
I woke up one fine day and the gates were opened up

And I’ve been washed in the river of love
I’m glad that it found me ‘cos I’ve been lost long enough
Now I’m ready ready for the flood
Can’t hold back the water in the river of love

All my friends are saying you’ve been away so long
You used to hang around with us what have we done wrong?
Well I’ve been up on the mountain to sing away my blues
Saw a trickle in a fountain then the dam burst right through

And I’ve been washed in the river of love
I’m glad that it found me ‘cos I’ve been lost long enough
Now I’m ready ready for the flood
Can’t hold back the water in the river of love

You might think you know the answer think you know the truth
Justify in God’s good name the evil that you do
But put your toe in the water take a little shove
Start swimming in the deep river of love

Well I’ve been washed in the river of love
I’m glad that it found me ‘cos I’ve been lost long enough
Now I’m ready ready for the flood
Can’t hold back the water in the river of love
Can’t hold back the water in the river of love.
